A signing for the ages . . .

Last night we hosted a magnificent signing at Forbidden Planet London with our bestselling and very cuddly authors Patrick Rothfuss and Scott Lynch. We knew it was going to be big, but we didn’t know how big… We arrived at around 5.15 to sign some preorders and meet with the staff. The Kingkiller Chronicles have been optioned for TV adaptation!

Some fantastic news for the day! The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss have been optioned for a TV adaptation by New Regency Productions and 20th Century Fox Television. Eric Heisserer (of Hours and The Thing) will be adapting the series and will also work as an executive producer alongside Arnon Milchan, Andrew Plotkin, Brad Weston and Robert Lawrence. The series will follow the Sunday Times bestselling novels The Name of the Wind, The Wise Man’s Fear and The Doors of Stone (working title only, with a tentative publication date of 2014), and Kvothe’s quest to hunt down the mysterious group…
